Scholarships

The PSIE in collaboration with the Snowsports Association of Ireland (SAI) are offering five scholarships for Alpine ski racers which includes training/evaluation course fees for the Level 1 Professional Ski Instructor and 1 year's complimentary membership of the PSIE.

Application deadline: 10th October 2025

The 2025/26 application period is from 19/05 - 10/10/2025

The PSIE are offering five scholarships for the 2025/26 season to current SAI registered alpine skiing athletes or to recently retired SAI registered athletes (within 2-years of retiring) with the opportunity to obtain the PSIE Level 1 Professional Ski Instructor certification.

THE WHY

Ski racing is an expensive pursuit with athletes often struggling for sufficient funding and having bills to pay for travel, accommodation, coaching etc. Benefiting from this scholarship allows athletes to more easily remain involved in snowsports following their competitive journey.

The PSIE course schedule shows where all the Level 1 courses are taking place during the 2025/26 winter season. Courses are either run directly by the PSIE or by one of our Licensed Course Providers (LCPs). If you are awarded the scholarship you can choose which course you would like to attend subject to availability.

Successful applicants will also be given their first year of membership (1 year) free of charge. After that you will be subject to normal membership fees.
