At the recent PSIC Spring Festival I delivered a keynote presentation on, "Skiing in Flow: An Art? A Technique? The first PSIC Spring Festival took place from 24-26 April 2026 at Whistler Blackcomb with over 90 members attending and was a huge success. The event brought together world renowned international coaches, highly experienced local trainers, CARV, keynote speakers, and passionate members keen to develop their skills.

Teach people, not sport by adapting teaching to suit individual learners. Use productive teaching styles to create environments where learners are able to build their own knowledge. And make learning safe yet fun by maintaining a focus on learner progress, effort and achievement via appropriate use of disguised learning through performance-related practices.

It is often said that the journey is more important than the destination. This means that the process of training, learning, and developing our skills as a ski instructor should not be rushed - it should be a time of growth, adventure, and an experience to savour.
