Marty Halford is the managing director of Ski Astons, a family owned company specialising in the field of school ski travel. Born to a coach tour operator, Marty has been immersed in travel and tourism her entire life.

A qualified and practised teacher of physical education, Marty is a huge advocate for grass roots sport.  Her undergraduate study considered the correlation between anxiety, self efficacy and self esteem in recreational skiing. This provided a strong insight into the needs of learners, underpinning the ethos and approach to the current residential ski programme.

She has competed in equestrian sports to national level and has international representative honours in rugby. Her sporting experiences have given her a great insight into the support that athletes require to achieve success but equally understands the barriers affecting participation.

With strong business relationships entrenched in Austria - spanning 45yrs - Marty believes strongly in rebuilding bridges for mutual benefits in the post Brexit era. She champions opportunities for the youth to engage co-operatively with European peers.
