Karolina Carlsdotter has over 25 years of experience in the ski industry, both in Sweden and internationally, and has worked across ski education, alpine training, coaching, leadership and business development.

Skiing has been the common thread throughout her career — from ski instructor and coach to educator and mentor, and today as CEO of Hovfjället Ski Resort.

​

Throughout her career, she has held a number of roles, including Sports Director at Hovfjället Ski Resort, Ski School Director at Romme Alpin and Head Coach of the Snowsport Sweden Demo Team, Sweden’s national team of ski instructors.

​

She has also served as an examiner and chairman of the Swedish Alpine Ski and Snowboard Instructor Examination. In addition, she has worked as a training instructor for SLAO, the Swedish Ski Areas Association, where she also held responsibility for education and professional development within Swedish snowsports.

​

Today, she combines her experience in the ski industry with her role as CEO of Hovfjället Ski Resort seeing this as an exciting opportunity to bring together the joy of skiing, outstanding guest experiences, business development and a long-term vision for the resort’s future.

​

In 2019, she was named Swedish Skiing Inspiration of the Year (Årets Skidinspiratör).

​

Outside of her work at Hovfjället, she is also a co-owner and driver at LarssonBuss in Örebro, one of Sweden’s most established coach travel companies.

​

Her driving force is to inspire, develop and help skiing continue to grow — through knowledge, commitment and people moving forward together.
